i need to know if these are right???
12 - 3& 2/9 = 8/3
4- 1& 5/8 = 37/8
5 - 3& 1/2 = 5
did I do this right
or is it like this--- 11& 9/9 - 3& 2/9 = 8& 7/9

11 9/9 - 3 2/9 = 8 7/9 right

12 can be written as: 11 + 9/9
3&2/9 = 3 + 2/9

12 - 3&2/9 = (11 + 9/9) - (3 + 2/9)
= 11 + 9/9 - 3 - 2/9
= 11 - 3 + 9/9 - 2/9
= 8 +(9 - 2) / 9
= 8 + 7/9
= 8&7/9
