OpenStudy (jazzyluvsu123):

Is mellisa or Matina sure they won't join us? is says their is a pronoun needs to be changed i know the pronoun ( they ) what should i change it to ??? FREEE MEDAL @agent0smith @ranga @btj™

OpenStudy (ranga):

"they" should be "she."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JazzyLuvsU123 @ranga Than you shall say "is EITHER melisa or Matina sure she won't join us"

OpenStudy (ranga):

Here the personal pronoun has to be singular. "Is" is singular, Mellisa or Martina is singular and therefore "they" should be singular too. If we want to keep "they" the question would change to: "ARE Mellisa AND Martina sure they won't join us?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ranga true. Although, without "either" the sentence looks odd.

OpenStudy (ranga):

yes it does. btj

OpenStudy (ranga):

It is combining two questions into one: Is Mellisa sure she won't join us? Is Matina sure she won't join us?
