if you did the lessons you would be able tell why you know he wrote it. For example, the lesson about this author told about Equiano's life and this passage was in a book he wrote about his experience about being a slave and how he was taken from his home. in the lesson, you read this exact passage. All you have to do is provide examples from the text given and tell that you know he wrote it b/c Equiano was a slave and was taken from his home.
