Angle TUW measure (10x – 7)° and angle VUW measures (5x + 13)°. Find the measure of angle TUV. Show equations and all work that leads to your answer.
@cwright150 Please post the information about the quadrilateral. Something had to be given about what type it is because there is no way to work the problem with more information. Look and see what it is, okay? Thanks.
all the information i have on the problem is in my first post or in the picture i posted underneath it. sadly that's all i have
Is this a kite? It seems that you are working on a group of problems about kites so I'm guessing.
yes this is a kite :)
Okay, then we can do the problem.
all i know so far is that x=4
Triangle TCU is congruent to Triangle VCU. By CPCTC (Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent), m<TUW = m<VCU
So, 10x - 7 = 5x + 13 What is the value of x? @cwright150
x=4
So, how big is the angle with this measure: 10x - 7
its 33 degrees correct
Yes, and what is the measure of the angle with this: 5x + 13
again its 33
Yes. The angle you want to find: m<TUV = m<TUC + m<VUC m<TUV = 33 + 33 = ?
so the angle of TUV is 66 degrees :)
Yes, that is what I got.
thanks for the help on this one :)
You are welcome. I see one more.
