The intersection of the diagonals of a kite form 90 degree (right) angles. This means that they are perpendicular. So, we need to mark that on the diagram.
The longer diagonal of a kite bisects the shorter one. This means that the longer diagonal cuts the shorter one in half.

I think you need to use the Pythagorean Theorem to get the length of segment DE. Do you remember the theorem?
