I'm writing a poem about abandament! I have an outline but need good description ?

A good way to describe something is to obviously use adjectives that relate to it, for your case, abandonment. You can also use feelings and emotions that relate to it as well. For example, when I think of abandonment I feel lonely and sad. Just play on with those feelings and emotions.

JRae has great suggestions! I'd also like to add that you may want to incorporate some figurative language, including hyperbole (exaggeration), simile (saying something is like another thing), metaphors (saying something is something else, not just like it) and overall descriptive language.
