A pile of 10 marbles forms a triangular prism there are 6 marbles in the base layer 3 in the middle layer and one in the top layer. each marble has a radius of 1 cm. what is the height of the pile of marbles?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

is the marbles hase spherical shape ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't figure out how they would stack - how much of the radius of each sphere would get "cut off" by resting on a base of 3....

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

will , @AllTehMaffs the qs is quit tough coz im trying to imagin how to form this shape !! i mean u can form Tri pyramid from 10 sphere but i couldnt imagin triangular prism formed from 10 sphere.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good point - I think it's impossible to form a prism with that number of marbles....
