Here is what we know. The maximum number of people (customers) that can be there is 120. There is 72 customers dining now. There are several ways to express how many more can be in the restaurant. here is how I would express it. x equals the total number of additional people that can be allowed into the restaurant. \[x \le 120\] Now if we assume that the 72 customers are remaining in the restaurant and x is the additional people that can enter we could express it this way \[x \le 120 -72\]
