Locate the prepositional phrase and identify its use. David, the tall kid, is the captain of the team. I know the prepositional phrase is "of the team", but what is the use? Adverb or adjective?

OpenStudy (seaturtle113):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well... do you know what an adjective is? it is a word further describing a noun.. and an adverb is further describing a verb. A noun is a person lace or thing, and a verb is an action. So which do you think? If you need more help or you dont understand plz dont feel nervous asking me. =)

OpenStudy (seaturtle113):

I think the phrase is used as an adjective because it goes on to describe the noun, captain.

OpenStudy (seaturtle113):

Is this correct?

OpenStudy (seaturtle113):

I also need help with a few more, but if you're willing to help, I'll put them in different questions so I can give you medals.
