shapes confuse me..please help..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each of the options that are possible for the solution will have a defining characteristic, take for example a plane, it is flat and in 2 dimensions only. where as a cylinder is in 3dimensions but is rounded also. so first go through the possible solutions, and cross out all the ones that are 2 dimensions only, and lets go taht far, then tell me what you have left ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A prism?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^_^ hey good job! that was fast!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was about to say it was right as well good job Jay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks is that shape congruent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

congruent... doesn't congruent checks have to do with comparing two shapes, not one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yeah that's right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a pyramid right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that would be right congruent has to be a mirror image

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And yest that is a pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just a pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What else do you think it could be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A polyhedron?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well a pyramid in its self is a polyhedron, is the question to check all the boxes that apply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then yes you would also check off polyhedron, sorry about that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's alright Okay i'm so sorry these shapes really confused me is this a cube and what else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cube, square, and not sure if a solid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is also a prism and it is considered solid A solid is a regular, convex polyhedron with congruent faces of regular polygons and the same number of faces meeting at each vertex.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the last one cause I have to go. Sorry to leave you hanging, hope I was able to help though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright thank you very much you helped a lot!
