Mean Value Theorem and Rolle's Theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I was doing my work and I kept getting answers I wasn't sure about. Check them for me and explain please? Rolle's Theorem: 1.) Ix-2I -2 <--absolute signs [0,4] I got does not apply because it is an absolute function and it creates a cusp but i feel like there is more to that... 2.) 2x^2-7 [0,4] I got does not apply because f(a) does not equal f(b) Mean Value Theorem: 1.) 1/x^2 [-2,1] I got does not apply because it is discontinuous on 0 which is in the interval 2.) x^2/3 [1,8] I got does not apply because it creates a cusp and is undefined when set to zero.
