MEDAL!!!!! How do u round a decimal?
you look at the number to right right of the number you are suppose to round, if that number is 5, then you round up, if the number to the right is 4, you do no rounding.
Ur not making any sence
1.47 so 7>5, so it becomes 1.5 if a number was 1.42 2<5, so it becomes 1.4
sense
So it has to be a 1?
i used 1 as an example.
For ex say its 11.313708
11.313708 if we are to round to a 'whole number' then it would be 3<5, so 11 is the answer if we are rounding to the nearest tenth, then we look at the 100s place which is a 1 1<5, so 11.3 is our answer
So 48.414873 It would be 48.4
good! now you are getting it!
now I told you how to do it half way... now i'll tell you the rest
Wait what if it was 12.5567
when you have a long number like 48.414873 you start on the right, and look and see if you round the next number, like this: on the far right we have 3, 3<5 so 48.414873 becomes 48.41487 now we have a 7, 7>5 so it becomes 48.4149 now we have a 9, 9>5 so it becomes 48.415 now we have a 5, 5=5, so we still round. so it becomes 48.42 2<5 so now we have 48.4
Well that's a long way witch doesn't make sense cause there's a easier way so your making it confused your doing your own steps that's not how it works
thats how we did it in engineering in college, so... maybe someone else can come help you then, cya
What if it was 35.5743 Would it be 35
36
7>5, so the 35.57 becomes 35.6 6>5 so the 35.6 becomes 36
So 5 and up is high
You don't know anything so someone else is telling me
