three submarines logged the depth of the vessel at various times of the day. list the depths from deepest to shallowest I need help here are the numbers 1. -250, -282, -110, -186, -53 2. -320, -162, -176, -43, -205 3. -183, -176, -110, 242, 280 help me put these in order from deepest to shallowest!!!????!?!

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

Deepest means lowest, shallow is highest. (i believe so) So, Since they're all negatives in the first one and second one, you need to just pick they number that looks the biggest (pretend the negatives are invicible) and put them from the biggest number. 1.-282,-250,-186,-110,-53. (do you see how in negatives the least number means the biggest?) 2.-320,-205,-176,-162,-43. 3. -183, -176, -110, 242, 280.

so the bigger numbers would go first right

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

In negatives yes. (they're not exactly bigger, they're actually smaller) For example If you had to pick which one is bigger. between -3, and -6. -6 would be lesser than -3. -3 would be the bigger number.
