13x-x=48

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

12x=48 ie x=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so this is simple since x alone is 1x it would be 13x -1x = 48 so you can subtract 1 from 13 to get 12x then you divide both sides by 12 so you would have x alone on the left and 48/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you divide you'll find out that x=4
