1-5(-2x+3)=2(-x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so you know your PEMDAS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parenthesis first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, so you distribute the the numbers outside the parentheses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be -5 *-2x And -5 * 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would distribute the first side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4(-2+3)=2(-x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And on the other side, 2 *-x and 2*5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2*5=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's just split the equation into two expressions. Can you do 1-5(-2x+3)? Distribute the -5 to BOTH the numbers within the parentheses to start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Worry about the 1 later

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10x +15
