Our sun is only the centre (sort of) of our solar system. 
There is no "centre" of the universe, and while that is rather hard for some to understand that is how it is. 

The universe began as a tiny point that suddenly expanded and has been expanding in all directions since that time over 13 billion years ago. But there is no "centre" - space itself is what is expanding, carrying everything in the universe along in that expansion.
