how do I find the area of a triangle? do I just multiply the numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area = (1/2) (base)(height) = 1/2(leg)(leg)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Triangle Area = ½ × b × h

Poor diagram...can you draw a right triangle and label whatever needs to be labeled more clear?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

or just post a quick screenshot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's all it is and it says find the area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hard to understand what is being labeled. I also dont clearly see the right angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We need the right angle shown so that we can know which sides are the legs.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

post a quick screenshot, do you know how to take a screenshot ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In THAT diagram, the height is 8 and base is 6, so use the formula and substitute.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area = 1/2 x base x height
