How would you solve this system using elimination? Please explain in steps with explanation, I just want to understand so I can solve others myself. :) -2x+2y+3z=0 -2x-y+2=3 2x+3y+3z=5

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Notice that if you add the 2nd and 3rd equations you can eliminate x for exemple.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

before i give entire explanation or do you just wanna know how to begin?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would like to know how to begin, I have a vague understanding of how to start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I would also like an entire explanation

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

If you wanna start i can guide you through.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I'd like to start, so you were saying you'd add the last two equations. -2x-y+2=3 2x+3y+3z=5 would the -2x and 2x cancel out and you'd end up with 4y+5z?....I'm probably wrong though; sorry. :c
