Why did the South’s economy suffer after the Civil War? A. After the war, the South immediately entered another war, fighting for slavery. B. Slaves were emancipated in the South, resulting in a serious decrease in productivity. C. Most destruction occurred on southern soil, so agriculture had difficulty recovering. D. When the North won the war, they took most of the South’s resources.

B!!! :) slaves were free to go and the decrease of agriculture since the slave owners depended entirely on them, so mostly their money went bye bye. :)
