I suppose first I might add that the "<" means less than, as in the quantity to the left of the < is of a smaller value than the quantity to the right of the <. 4x + 6 < -6 First subtract +6 from both sides. 4x < -12 Now divide both sides by 4 x < -3 The final answer is x < -3 Hope this helped! :D
