I never studied medieval chivalry but I know it was adopted from some writings at the time. Woman were placed on a pedestal and treated in a certain way, that's why young boys of my time were taught you don't hit girls. This may of given woman of my era a false illusion of reality sensing that no matter what they do they wouldn't be attacked. As long as fighting among children still occurs I don't think girls should be excluded. This false chivalry is why I think the glass ceiling exist and either reality must change or girls must have the same experience as boys.
As for valor, I believe one should not go into something their not prepared for, God does not want martyr's. One's training should prepare you to go into certain situations, its useless to try to stop something and loss your life and it still occurs. One has to know their limits, possible expand them but never go into something you know you have little chance when others more prepared may have success.
