what do 2(3g+2)=1/2(12g+8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

clear the brackets and move the variable to one side

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Evaluate 2(3g+2). That would be 6g+4 (when you use the distributive property). Evaluate 1/2(12g+8). Remember that you are finding half/0.5 of 12g and 8. That will be 6g+4. The evaluation of both of these are 6g+4=6g+4.

same issue as the last one g=g g = all real numbers, can't solve for an exact value
