a function is a relation in which each value of the input variable is paired with at least one value of the output variable True or false?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yes true. But this does not mean that a function can have more than 1 value for each input variable but each input variable MUST have an output.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks. I kinda thought this was a trick question since it says at least one (like if it could have more than one).

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yeah tricky indeed :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just plugged in the answer, it was actually false :(

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Maybe we made a mistake here. Atleast could could also mean more than one in that case the relation is not a function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah well thanks anyways :)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

yw :)
