Figure ABCD is a trapezoid with point A (0, -4). What rule would rotate the figure 270° clockwise, and what coordinate would be the output for point A'? (x,y)→(y,-x); A' (-4, 0) (x,y)→(-y,x); A' (4, 0) (x,y)→(y,x); A' (-4, 0) (x,y)→(-y,-x); A' (4, 0)

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Well, rotating a figure 270 degrees clockwise is the exact same thing as rotating it 90 degrees counter clockwise so we have to use: x, y --> -y, x

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

So, we have our rule, but what would (o, -4) convert to?

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

(0, 4)*

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Ok, we have to flip x and y and make 4 the opposite integer so, it goes from negative to positive. Now what do we have?
