How do I solve this integral?

I am bit rusty on integration. I know I have to use subsitution. So I let u=denominator

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, then u =F2A2-F3A3 so, du = ... ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

du=-A3 ?

hartnn (hartnn):

du = - F3 dA3 right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how you got that to be honest.

hartnn (hartnn):

its like u = a-bx differentiate this w.r.t x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and b are constants?

hartnn (hartnn):

yep since we are integrating w.r.t A3 everything except A3 are constants

hartnn (hartnn):

u= a-bx du/dx = -b du = -b dx so, u =F2A2-F3A3 so, du = -F3 dA3 makes sense ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see, clearly I need to brush up on the basic rules, it's been a while haha. Thanks!

hartnn (hartnn):

yeah, can solve further ?
