How do you order scientific notation from greatest to least?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

if we are doing base 10, that is when things are multiplied by 10 and some exponent, it will be be greater when the exponent is higher and when it is positive; it will be smaller when the exponent is negative and higher value. let me show you an example between A) 1.25 x 10^3 and B) 1.25 x 10^5 B is bigger between C) 1.25 x 10^-3 and D) 1.25 x 10^-5 D is smaller

what if I have numbers with the same exponent? EX. 9.3x10^7 and 3.62x10^7

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

if you have the same exponent, then whatever coeffficient is bigger in the case of A) 2.35 x 10^7 and B) 5.25 x 10^7 B is bigger

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

basically the parts of the scientific notation includes coefficient, base and exponent or power in the previous example 2.35 and 5.25 are the coefficients 10 would be the base 7 is the exponent

ok thanks! :)
