Combine like terms. 2x+3x+7=-13 2x+3x=5x 5x+7=-13 subtract 7 from both sides 5x+7-7=-13-7 5x=-20 divide by 5 x=-4
2x+3x+7=-13 combine like terms: 5x + 7 = -13 subtract 7 5x = -20 divide by 5 x = -4
