The figure below shows two congruent triangular parks. What equation would help you to solve for the side length of BC and EF? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences. • I just need help
which figure?
@Easyaspi314
@Easyaspi314 did you got it ? and by the way thank you for answering. I just need help, no the full answer .
Congruent Triangles means that you can setup the sides into a fraction and set them equal Example if you had two congruent triangles ABC DEF Then \[\frac{AB}{DE} = \frac{BC}{EF}\]where these are side lengths
@PhysicsGuru I kind of get it right now, but I'm still confused, so after i have that. what do i do ?
Using this relationship you will find an equation involving x and solve for x
make sure you choose the sides that contain x
so it will turn like this ?\[\frac{ 15 }{ 15 } = \frac{ 3x-5 }{ X+6 }\]
3x -4 not 5 .... but yes then solve for x
Yeap, yeap... Here is where i get stuck. How do i solve for X now ?
You first want to get x out of the denominator so you will multiply by the x+6 term and then make sure to get x on one side... need to go through the steps?
Yeap please ... :)
\[1 = \frac{3x-4}{x +6}\] multiple by x+6 term first....
So it will be 1X+6 ?
1(X+6) where 1 multiplied by any term is the term itself so X+6
SO, x+6= 3x-4 ?
correct then move the x terms to one side
SO, 6=2x-4 ?
yes then you want to isolate (get by itself) x on the right side
X=5 ???
done!! :)
Thank You sooooo much !!! So the answer to the question will be ?
\[X + 6 = 3x -4\] because congruent triangles mean that the same sides are equal between both
Thank YOU SO MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH !!!! Can you check the answer i putted for another question ?
Determine if the two figures are congruent and explain your answer. If they are congruent, tell which rigid motions were used. MY ANSWER : They are congruent because each of its sides measure the same. The rigid motion they use is 90 degrees clockwise.
