Algebra 2 Functions help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the inverse of a function, interchange x with y, and y with x. Then solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the inverse will be x = (3y + 5)/7...now solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiplying both sides by 7, you get 7x = 3y + 5 Subtract 5 from both sides, you get 7x - 5 = 3y Now divide both sides by 3, you get y = (7x-5)/3
