Can any help me out with this problem? Write in Standard form the equation of the parabola that contains the points (0,0), (-1,-5) and (2,-2).

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

\[y = ax^{2}+bx+c\] plug in the 3 points for (x,y) this will give 3 equations with 3 variables a,b,c solve the system \[c = 0\] \[a-b+c = -5\] \[4a +2b +c = -2\]

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

@MrWhiteBoy101 , did you get the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No sorry there are 4 answer that i can pick from and your answer was not one of the choses. Sorry

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

haha well i didnt give an answer...i showed you how to obtain the answer by solving that system of equations for the unknown coefficients

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok i get it now thanks
