hi I need some help with my future career, I am applying to high schools (magnet) and im having trouble picking a academy can someone explain to me what the best thing about engineering and what don't you like thank you

Actually you seem to young to be considering a career, you need to be more well rounded in your education. During this process you'll discover some things about yourself, such as being more drawn to mathematics then to say history or politics. Its what life is about, discovery of what in the world you are drawn to and how you can fit into it. Life is full of things and my hope for you is you find what God has for you.

I am surprised nobody has given you more input. Engineers use principles of math, science, and engineering concepts to solve real world problems. Engineers are responsibly for improving the quality of life of humanity and even animals. Basically, anything that has to do with developing technology, there will be an engineer. Engineers can do anything from working in a nuclear powerplant, developing new cars, manufacturing machines to build iPhones, to even making a synthetic heart to keep people alive.

I don't know much about marine biology, but I once worked in Alaska. We had to wait for approval from the biologists, whom analyzed the salmon behavior, on whether it was okay to fish or not. I'd imagine you would be doing something like that if you chose that field.

It used to be said the Biology was a soft science which is not really true any more. The requirements of math is essential in determining models for life as with any subject. Engineering is the practical application of science and the study of life is a science. I suspect if you want to go into Biology you'll study the DNA of life in general from microbiology to cloning and eventually you'll settle on your major focus.
