@halorazer @221emily @texaschic101 The Supreme Court has ruled that a lie that is spoken is not protected speech. What is a spoken lie called? A. Petition B. Sedition C. Libel D. Slander

OpenStudy (221emily):

um i think it is D. Slander im not sure its probably wrong double check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Petition is irrelevant. Sedition is a statement against a law or something like that. Libel is essentially slander, except that it is written instead of spoken. Slander is a spoken statement. They all have to be false in order to be considering defamatory, so I do believe that D is correct, like Emily said.
