Assume that the probability is 1/2 that a child born at any time is a girl and births are independent. What is the probability of the event if a family has 5 kids (no twins) and none of them are girls?

Somebody please help!

Think about it. If there is a 50% chance for a girl every time. And you have 5 kids, there is a 50% chance each of those kids would be a girl. So at first you would have 1/2 then 1/4 then 1/8 then 1/16 then 1/32 chance having all boys. which translates into a 3.125% chance of having all 5 kids as boys.

Oh sorry I screwed up the second to last sentence, it should say "So at first you would have 1/2 then 1/4 then 1/8 then 1/16 then 1/32 chance having all GIRLS."
