would it be a positive 4 ? 3x+4y or 3x+-16y ?

x + 6y - 3x + 10y When you distribute that minus sign you change the signs.
OpenStudy (mathlegend):
You can rewrite this like... x - 3x + 6y + 10y Now, combine like terms.
