"Ashley," said Ashley's mother. "I don't believe that you have time to care for a puppy right now."
"Your mother's right Ashley," Ashley's dad said nodding. "You have a lot of work to do."
"You're three weeks behind on Science and two weeks behind on Math!" Ashley's brother shouted. "The last thing you need is a puppy Ashley!"
"I promise to catch up on my work!" exclaimed Ashley. "I'll even do extra chores for a month if I must, I'll come up with a plan!"

Ashley's family thought and thought. It took them forever, but they finally gave in!

Try not use to "Ashley" so much in the sentences. For instance, we know it's his father, mother, ect. Just try using, "Ashley," said his mother."
