what is 9.21 in radical form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To do this you must figure out the number whose square root is closest to 9 and 10. Off the top of my head, I remember that the square root of 81 is 9 and the square root of 100 is 10. So the number inside the square root has to be between 81 and 100. Knowing that, let us multiply 9.21 by itself. Think of it as reversing the square root. This will help me get a number that should be inbetween 81 and 100. 9.21 x9.21 =84.8241 (did this work out on a separate sheet of paper but if you need help with it I can show you) 84.8 is closest to what number? 85. Thus the square root of 85, or radical 85 is your answer.
