OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I tell you the answer, can you tell me how to get it?

hartnn (hartnn):

you don't want to do it by yourself ? i'll tell you what to do....that way you'll be able to learn how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok then... what should I do? :)

hartnn (hartnn):

cross multiply like a/b -c/d = (ad-bc)/bd

hartnn (hartnn):

do you understand what i am asking you to do ?

hartnn (hartnn):

like 1/a- 1/b = (b-a)/ab 1/(3+2i) - 1/(3-2i) = ... ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4i/(9+4) Huh.. That's correct. That's what's in the answers of the book. But as embarassing as this sounds I don't really get how the cross multiplication works, haha.
