if x and y are distinct prime numbers less than 10 which of the following cannot be a sum of x and y??? 5, 6 , 7 , 8

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Prime numbers less than 10 are : 2, 3, 5, and 7 x and y are distinct if x=2 and y=3 -> x+y=5 if x=2 and y=5 -> x+y=7 if x=3 and y=5 -> x+y=8 if x=7 and y=2 -> x+y=9 > 8 So 6 can not be a sum of x and y.
