if i have a question like this 2p=180-4p and i have to make p the subject. how does the +- signs change?

2p=180-4p.. Basically get p to one side of the equation by adding 4p.. You do the opposite of the function.. So since you're subtracting in your original equation you'd add to do the opposite.. So then you'd get 6p=180.. Then just divide..
