OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the ordered pairs in the form (x, y) is a solution of this equation? 6x-y/2=14 (-9,3),(2,-4)

OpenStudy (ranga):

Put x = -9 and y = 3 into the equation and see if it satisfies the equation. If not try the other ordered pair (2, -4). That is, put x = 2, y = -4 into the equation and see if it satisfies the equation. Whichever ordered pair satisfies the equation is the solution for that equation.
