Write an equation to represent the relationship, and then solve the equation. 25 more than 3 times a number is the same as 9 times the number minus two.

you have to write the equation. lets say the number we are talking about is x. so 25 more than 3 times a number is 3x+25 right? so 3x+25 is equal to 9 times the number minus two. which is 9x-2? correct? then you can solve the equation i think.

Ok, so how would I solve?

3x+25=9x-2 you need to |dw:1384185618125:dw| send 3x to the other side it'll be -3x |dw:1384185687254:dw| then you send the -2 to the opposite side |dw:1384185714041:dw| you should be able to solve this from here!
