Simplify 10 + 4(x + 1) + 5. 4x + 6 4x + 19 4x + 16

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Well first we have to follow PEMDAS. So first we distribute the 4 into the x and the 1 which is pretty easy: 10 + 4(x + 1) + 5 10 + 4x + 4 + 5 Now we just add. Do you think you can do that? :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i can thank you @♪Chibiterasu

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Well make sure not to add the 4x to anything, because no other coefficient has variable x. To complete this just add the 10, 4 and 5 and leave the 4x alone.

4x + 19 right ? @♪Chibiterasu

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Yep! :3
