on a number line what is 3>-1??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

are there any variables in that inequality? Seems like something is missing

Well if its the number line, the three is on the right meaning positive and the -1 is the left ( think like your in debt if you see a negative sign, which is what my math tutor told me.) So -1 < 3
