A particle is moving with acceleration a(t) = 6 t + 4. its position at time t =0 is s(0) = 11 and its velocity at time t =0 is v(0) = 16. What is its position at time t = 11?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 1710 for the answer but it's says it's wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help @Easyaspi314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can show me your work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

v(t) = 3t^2 + 4t + 16...got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s(t) = t^3 + 2t^2 + 16t + 11....got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i had the 11 before the 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C = 11 for s(t)...so 16t + 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so s(11) = 1,760

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooh okay, that's why my answer was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so final answer is s(11) = 1,760. Welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
