!!! One Medal Question !!! who has read " The Secret Garden" Properly and know about the story very well ?
I've read it; need help? :)
yes I do ! I wanted to know the conflicts in the story -> #1 - Person/person - one person against another person in a conflict. Person/nature - one person against nature, such as earthquakes, tornadoes, or other natural forces. also have you read The Wizard of OZ ? @StudentLeatn
Yes, I have read Oz. :) Typing an answer to you Garden question.
One conflict is between Mary and her mother, who is a cruel woman. Unable to bear that her child is sickly and ugly, she refuses to see Mary at all. Another is between Colin and his father. Colin's father too, refuses to see his son but this is because Colin reminds him of his late, dearly beloved wife. Colin too, is sickly and ugly and is despised by Archibald Craven, thus creating another conflict. As far as person/ Nature goes, I think the biggest one is the way Colin's father hates the Secret Garden because his wife fell from a branch on one of its trees. Hope this helps. :)
Yes that defiantly helps !!!! ok I also need -> Person versus himself - one person struggling against himself over something mental, emotional or a belief system (inner conflict). -> Person versus supernatural - one person against monsters, ghosts, demons, or other unknown forces. also If you can give all the four conflicts posted above for The Wizard Of OZ Really appreciate it =) @StudentLeatn
OK, all of the major characters are struggling with themselves except wingspanon. Mary is struggling with her inner loneliness and feeling of being cast out by her parents. She's also struggling later with the death of her parents and with being a very spoilt child. Colin is struggling with the perception that he is sickly and is developing a hunchback. The truth is, he is not deformed. He simply believes it because everyone tells him so. He also believes he can't stand up. ArchBishop Craven is struggling with deep bereavement from the loss of his wife years ago. He can't face his son because of this. Supernatural, hmm... Mary is afraid to sleep, I think. Because when her parents died, someone told her they were going to sleep for a long time/ forever. And honestly, now that you know how to analyse and answer these kinds of questions, I think you should do Oz yourself! You'll hardly learn if I give you all the answers. :) Why don't you try, post a reply to your Oz question and I'll critique/ edit that reply. :)
ok, sure I'll try it after reading it again lol ! well Thank you very much I've been stuck with this like over a month !
