OpenStudy (lena772):

The first five terms of a sequence are shown below. 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 If the nth term of this sequence is represented by f(n), which of the following functions best represents this sequence? f(n) = 6n - 3; n ≥ 1 f(n) = 6n + 3; n ≥ 1 f(n) = 3n + 3; n ≥ 1 f(n) = 3n - 3; n ≥ 1

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

wats your guess ?

OpenStudy (lena772):

The third

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats a very good guess :)

OpenStudy (lena772):

Cuz if you say 3n+3 when n is 1 then it's 6 if you say 3n+3 when n is 2 it is 9

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Brilliant !! 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 slope = 3 here and since first term is 6 3n + 3 is ur expression :)

OpenStudy (lena772):

:)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good job! btw we're talking about slope, cuz you have been doing straight line equations...
