How does density affect matter? Explain briefly and cite example.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

density means mass in g in given volume m^3 gas has low density - less molecules per give volume- e.g. 10 molecules liquid has medium density - more molecules per given volume- e.g. 40 molecules Solid has high density - even more molecules per give volume e.g. 100 molecules In simple terms density is like number of people in a room. If you have your mum and dad in the room with your sister then it is like how gas occupies that room and if you invited a few friends round then that is like how liquid occupies your room and if you had a massive party in your room, that is representation of a solid.
