Free will Reality or illusion?! Scientific approach Well, if we look at the world one way, we see that everything obeys a particular law, and if we understood that law, we can predict it. So that way there is no free will, provided i get all the data i needed and know the laws of the universe i should be able to predict everyone's thoughts, and their actions for the rest of eternity but quantum mech shows us that there is inherent randomness opposed to hidden variable theory. So if we adopt this into account, free will, isn't really free will at all, its just RANDOM will. :O :O!!

So either there is no free will, but only an illusion or free will is basically a result of trillions and trillions of superposition of randomness happening inside our brain at a quantum level, which again tells us that its an illusion But that is so hard to conceive.. and digest, cause i always feel m in control of myself. How can it be that at this very instant of time, its just randomness that has provoked me to open up this post and type this question?!

OpenStudy (rajat97):

i think this is a relative concept you can read about the free will in stephen hawking's books they are just awesome and full of humor different people, different thinkings ; )

Don't forget about deterministic chaos theories and emergence - coherence ebbs and flows like everything else.
