Why did the British have problems after the French and Indian War? 1.They had less territory than before the war. 2.They no longer had Native American allies. 3.They were faced with a devastating natural disaster after the war ended. 4.They were left with a large public debt and created unpopular taxes in order to pay it.

This is most certainly 4. The French and Indian War was fought, essentially, for land. So most of those answers are irrelevant. But the Crown could not afford to fund such an expensive war, and it was fought in Colonial America. So, logically, he taxed them.
