can 7x^2-6xy+8y^2 be simplified?

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could factor out an x or a y from either side of the equation, but that really doesn't "simplify" the equation in my opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Such as x(7x-6y)+8y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what if the original equation is 21x^3-18x^2y+24xy^2? i got 3x(7x^2-6xy+8y^2. would that be right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct.

OpenStudy (phavor):

I agree with monty5658 because there a lot of even numbers in this particular problem I would yes you can simplify it
